Mind-Bending Squirrel Rebellion

First of all, I know I've never said why my updates have random word salad titles. That's a simple thing to explain, though: I'm complete shit at coming up with post titles that might be remotely interesting, so I use a random game title generator and just go with whatever sounds mildly funny or absurd. Which, of course, I know matters to absolutely no one. But I figured I might as well explain the origins of my post titles.

That out of the way: I am now almost finished mapping Dalhurst, which, as I've said before, is the last big area in Omnia's introduction/demo. I am currently one hundred eleven maps in; I've got to edit tilesets and make three more maps; one small and two larger, important ones, then I'll be finished with Dalhurst's maps. That shouldn't take more than a few more days!

After those maps are done, I'm going to be writing- I will start with the descriptive, flavor and lore writing, which I know will take at least a couple of weeks, then I'll be adding the storyline. I'm saving coming up with names for items, equipment, skills and miscellaneous stuff until all the rest of the writing has been handled, since naming things can be a real pain in the ass. Writing is something that's always been easy for me, so even though I know it will take a while, it's not something that bothers me in any way.

I know that I should be working on Omnia again tonight after dinner, but once I finish editing the tileset I've got openj right now and map this small area, I'm going to take the rest of the day off.

Which is a weird thing to say, since I like to try and have part of the next tileset I'll be working with edited before I do something else. But I've been up since 5:30 this morning; we've had thunderstorms and downpours, which scared the fuck out of my kitten, who decided to scream and bounce off my head until I woke up.
